Anchored in the city

 

 

Today we explored the area around Miami Beach. It was fun and interesting to watch all the different people, cars, shops and buildings in the area. This must be the absolute opposite of Havana, Cuba when it comes to consuming goods and spending money.

 

We are anchored sort of in the middle of the city, with skyscrapers all around us. From the anchorage, we can drive our dinghy up through a narrow canal which ends up near the beach. There's also a small dinghy dock near a supermarket, which is very convenient.

 

Tomorrow it's going to be terrible weather, so we're preparing to spend the day on board. Tuesday we get a visit from Kjell Arne's family.
